By accessing or using Generous ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Description of Service
Generous is an AI-powered website builder that generates professional websites based on user input. The Service includes website creation, editing, hosting, and export capabilities.
Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
- One person may not maintain more than one free account.
Subscriptions and Payment
- Free accounts are subject to usage limits as described on our pricing page.
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the Stripe billing portal.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 14 days of a charge for refund requests.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
Your Content
- You retain ownership of all content you provide (text, images, business information).
- You grant us a license to use your content solely to provide the Service (generating, hosting, and displaying your website).
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content you upload, including images and text.
- You may export your website data at any time. Exported websites are fully yours.
AI-Generated Content
- Website copy, layouts, and structure generated by our AI are provided for your use.
- AI-generated content may not be perfectly accurate. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all content before publishing.
- We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is unique or free from similarities to other websites.
- AI-generated legal pages (privacy policies, terms of service) are templates and do not constitute legal advice.
Prohibited Use
You may not use the Service to:
- Create websites that contain illegal, harmful, or fraudulent content
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Distribute malware or phishing content
- Abuse our AI systems (automated scraping, excessive generation requests)
- Resell the Service without a valid agency agreement
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
Website Hosting
- Published websites are hosted on our infrastructure.
- We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime.
- We reserve the right to remove websites that violate these terms.
- Custom domain setup requires a paid plan.
Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Generous shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of business, revenue, or data
- Inaccuracies in AI-generated content
- Downtime or service interruptions
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months prior to the claim.
Termination
- You may delete your account at any time from your settings.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
- Upon termination, your published websites will be taken offline within 30 days.
- You may export your data before termination.
Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
